Every morning, Malaika drinks water soaked in jowan and cumin. Sometimes, she also soaks fennel seeds with it. And she calls the water soaked in these three spices 'the kitchen doctor'. How to make this drink? Malaika told in a podcast that she soaks each spice in one spoonful of water at night. In the morning, she boils the mixture of spices soaked in that water and drinks that water lukewarm. This keeps her gas and heartburn problems away. It also removes pollutants from the body and cleanses the stomach.
